These terms govern your access to and use of Figurespace.
1. The service
Figurespace provides digital tools for organising study materials, learning with AI-assisted guidance, and creating study activities and resources.
The service is intended to support learning. It does not guarantee any particular grade, result or outcome, and generated content may not always be accurate or complete.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure and take responsibility for activity carried out through it. Contact support@figurespace.app promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You must not share, transfer or use an account to avoid usage limits, payment obligations or access restrictions.
3. AI-assisted content
Some explanations, questions, summaries, citations, recommendations and other outputs are generated using artificial intelligence. These outputs may be incorrect, incomplete or misleading. You should check important information against your original materials and other reliable sources.
Figurespace is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or safety advice.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of materials you upload and work you create. You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed to upload, store and use that content through the service.
You grant Figurespace a limited licence to host, copy, process, organise and transmit your content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure and improve the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where continued retention is reasonably required for backups, security or legal compliance.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Figurespace unlawfully or in a way that harms others, infringes rights, introduces malicious code, disrupts the service, gains unauthorised access, extracts data at scale, or circumvents access controls, payment requirements, usage limits or technical safeguards.
Security concerns should be reported privately to support@figurespace.app.
6. Paid plans and renewals
Details of paid plans, prices, billing periods and included features are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you authorise our payment provider to charge the applicable fees and taxes for each billing period.
You can manage or cancel a subscription through the available billing controls. Unless stated otherwise at checkout or required by law, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Failed or overdue payments may result in restricted access to paid features.
7. Cancellations, refunds and consumer rights
Your cancellation and refund rights depend on applicable law and the circumstances of your purchase. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Except where required by law or expressly agreed by us, charges are not refundable solely because the service was unused or a subscription was not cancelled before renewal. Contact support@figurespace.app if you believe a charge is incorrect or the paid service was not supplied as described.
8. Usage limits
Plans may include usage, capacity or fair-use limits. These may vary by plan and by the type or cost of a requested action. We may restrict or delay further use when a limit is reached, but reaching a limit will not by itself remove work already stored in your account.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but Figurespace may sometimes be interrupted, delayed or unavailable. We may add, remove or change features as the service develops.
Where a significant change materially reduces a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to explain the change and any options available to affected users.
10. Third-party services
Figurespace depends on third-party services for functions such as hosting, storage, authentication, payments and AI processing. Their availability, terms or technical changes may affect the service.
11. Our intellectual property
Figurespace, including its software, design, branding and service content, belongs to Figurespace or its licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, resulted from reliance on unchecked AI-generated content, or arose from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If you use Figurespace for business purposes, our total liability arising from or connected with the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Figurespace during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Figurespace at any time. We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law, address non-payment, or respond to a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how we collect and use personal data.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, our practices or applicable law. We will publish the revised terms with a new effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where appropriate.
